ARCHITECTURE MADE BY MUSIC
WHAT IS RESONANCE ARCHITECTURE?
A new method of creating architectural form based on the geometry of sine waves (music/vibration), using a map of harmonic resonance to create shape.
We do not draw or create the forms, we capture them.
Our goal is to change the relationship between human habitation and nature.
By using the same process that nature uses, we make structures that embody true / holistic resonance. When you experience these geometries - whether on a ceiling, a textile or in the shape of the walls themselves, you are naturally entrained into a meditative state.
Biomimetic design has been proven to reduce stress and sympathetic nervous system response by 67%.
WHAT WE DO
We design resonant structures that hold a specific frequency.
The technology used to map these geometries is new and falls under parametric / computational design We use pure math, algorithms and sacred geometry to generate form.
The intention of the work is to experience a feeling of interconnectedness with all of existence through a physical experience of resonance at a large scale. As we know from epigenetics, our physical environment has an enormous impact on our genetic response and overall well-being.
WHAT IS RESONANCE?
Resonance is an increase in the vibration amplitude of an object caused by another object vibrating at the same frequency.
When a sine wave bounces off a sacred geometric building or space, the resulting waves cause an amplification of the original frequency, which generates biomimetic form.
What we are mapping is the geometry of music itself as it travels, freezing it in time. By using these forms to create architecture, we will be able to visually experience the music we hear but cannot see.

ARCHITECTURAL APPLICATIONS
The forms generated by mapping sound waves can be used in many ways in the design of buildings, from residential to sacred to hospitality.
Applications:
Pavilion Structures, 3d Ceiling Geometries
Textiles, Wall Screens, Light Fixtures
Structural Members, Sculptural Seating, Whole-Building (Temple) Design
